program: May 4 - July 1

projectweek: July 6-10

Pilot is a practical learning trajectory that focuses on prepping artists (post-grad and self taught) for their professional practices. The program provides you with tools for self-directed practice centralising autonomy, solidarity and collectivity through meetings, excursions and workshops. During the program you’ll get hands-on experience in how to position yourself on your own terms and become more aware of who you are as an artist. In providing peer-to-peer learning, souvenirs, teambuilding, field trips and a network of great people and institutions, we offer the opportunity to further develop your career as a professional artist.

The program finalises with a site-specific projectweek, and aims to open up ideas on how and where to present your work within a context of (semi)public space. The projectweek will be contextualised by het resort, guided by a former resort artist, and will finalise in a public presentation at the end of the week.

online Q&A

On Monday March 9 at 16:00 there is an online Q&A to ask all your questions, and where a former participant will share their experience. Apply via the sign-up sheet: https://forms.gle/UHvdofykbbCfbyT76.

program

Within the program you will reflect on your practice, talking and writing about it, how to apply for funding, your online presence, solidarity, community, get tools on how you want to position yourself as an artist, and meet with artists and art spaces. The program runs bi-weekly from May to July, participants are expected to be present for the full program. Parts of the program will be coached by other art spaces and artists to offer peer-to-peer learning.

In the last week of the program you take part in a site-specific project week, guided by a former resort artist. Together you will develop a site-specific project, contextualised by a theme and the location. The projectweek offers an opportunity to combine your practice and skills developed throughout the program, and to collectively work site-specific in a new context. It will be finalized with a public moment at the end of the week.
